Spring Style View
With summer stretched out before us there is no better way to get ahead in the style stakes than with the perfect printed dress. Modern styling combined with head-turning prints is the easiest way to reinvigorate your dress edit this season, making it the go-to garment for uncomplicated day-to-evening dressing.
It’s very much about the dress this season as a stand-alone piece. Prairie dresses made an impact on the runways, especially at Erdem and Coach, and these often long-length dresses are full of whimsical details, femininity and romanticism. Pared back and ready to throw on with effortless ease, these are dresses you can’t help but fall in love with. We adore Lily & Lionel's Marlowe dress in the glorious Forget Me Not blue floral print with lace-up front. Take it on summer holidays or wear it to spring weddings, Marlowe really can do both.
With vintage inspired silhouettes and delicate garden florals, our dress edit isn’t all about longer-lengths. Feel ready for summer in an instant with the short Helena dress from Rails in sweet pea green floral. Short flutter sleeves and a v-neckline define this pretty A-line dress that feels fresh and light for spring. Throw on and go for an easy one-and-done look paired with trainers or sandals and a denim jacket on top.
Rixo’s SS19 collection ‘Love Over Gold’ is a masterclass in bold primary colours and floral prints done in a modern way. The Chelsea midi dress in white and blue tulip spot print is our go-to ‘going-out’ dress this season, whether you wear her with heels or clashed with a chunky western boot. With a v-neckline and front slit, this dress has a flattering mock-wrap front and ruffle details to add to her feminine edge.
The Ariel dress is another new shape from the London based design duo at Rixo this spring. In a two-toned red and purple 80’s tulip print, this dress has clear vintage influences and a silhouette that’s set to stun. With a v-neckline, Ariel is ruched in all the right places, with a front split and short blouson sleeves. Wear with mules and a belt for a dressed down daytime look or dress up with your favourite heels for an ideal wedding guest outfit.
Moving away from brighter prints, the Coleen midi dress from Rixo comes in a wearable psychedelic camo tulip. With an 80’s inspiration you’ll be the centre of attention in Coleen thanks to her ruched front, ruffle detail and front slit to show off more than a hint of leg. Effortlessly chic, this dress requires minimal accessories, simply throw on and go whatever the occasion.
Rixo’s signature off-the-shoulder dress gets a makeover for SS19. Queenie, loved for her stylish cut which shows off the décolletage, features a high fitted waistband and tiered bottom which falls to a maxi length. In a lilac blue silk chiffon, this design is dotted with gold lame spots all-over for a disco meets vintage vibe. We’ll be styling this dress with platform heels and statement earrings.
